Tatamino, bed system

Lispi 2026

“As an architect, I have always viewed my work as a designer as an opportunity to create small scale architectural spaces; fragments of landscapes capable of embracing movement, light and memory. Intimate spaces, meant to be truly lived in. The idea of the Tatami arose to offer the chance to create a micro-habitat that was both structure and atmosphere, evoking the Japanese image of the tatami: a bed that becomes a small living space. A place to read, display your most cherished objects, relax under soft lighting, watch a film, listen to music or hang your favourite painting. Tatamino is an intimate piece that adapts the bed to contemporary needs: a functional and flexible structure that invites you to personalise, adapt and truly inhabit your own resting corner. Not merely a support for the mattress, but a living space.Tatamino consists of a metal frame with joints secured by bolts. Everything is strictly handmade in the Lispi tradition. The modularity allows you to use one or two tatami units to create two configurations: 100×200 | single mattress or sofa, 200×200 | double mattress. You can choose to furnish Tatamino with a material or padded headboard, or with micro-holes into which to insert wooden shelves and hooks. The top of the headboard can serve as a shelf or a desk, depending on your needs. In short, good night… but also have a good day!” Marialaura
