Gallotti & Radice 2026
“For several years now, I have been conducting research into the regeneration of materials: waste powders from marble, clay, stone and glass, which are given a new lease of life. Through the process and the form, the final result highlights the imperfection, density and poetry of the material, as well as the desire to touch it.
As an architect, I have always viewed my work as a designer as an opportunity to create architecture on a smaller scale; fragments of landscapes capable of encapsulating gesture, function and memory. Small domestic structures to be touched and truly used. And every space needs a fixed point. A silent object on which to rest something: a glass, a book, a thought.
Dock for Gallotti & Radice stems from this reflection: a cantilevered side table that becomes a simle object, crafted from recycled travertine powder or glass. A unique piece that defies staticity through a design that renders the object light and practical, allowing it to find its place beside the sofa, the bed, the armchair… Dock does not demand attention. It waits. Like a quiet harbour, always ready to welcome.” Marialaura
